Cynthia Okpala; MTV VJ is getting married

MTV Voice Jockey, Cynthia C-VON Okpala has finally announced to the world that she's found her better half.

The 24 year-old graduate of Computer Science who graduated from The Ebonyi State University in 2007 has also revealed that she and her partner Ozoemene Mbanefo have plans to exchange marital vows before the end of the year.

A statement from MTV, issued today says ‘We’re happy to announce that MTV base VJ Cynthia Okpala has just got engaged to her friend and partner Ozoemena Mbanefo, with plans to exchange vows before year-end’.

Miss Okpala is currently getting ready to tape her new MTV base show, MTV base.IQ Sweetened By Buttermint later in the month. ‘The bubbly bride-to-be will be back on our TV screens on DStv, STV and AIT from August 2010′ says an MTV base spokesperson.

Sources say Cynthia and her groom-to-be attend the same church, and were out on a group event when he proposed.

Exclusive: P-Square in N240M Contract with GLO

Good days are still lurking in the corner for Star twins Peter and Paul Okoye as a knowledgeable sources has just disclosed that the Okoye brothers have signed up for a two-year endorsement deal with telecoms company Globacom.

The deal, which will last for four years in the first instance, is reportedly worth N240m.

A source who is familiar with the details says the pop twins have agreed to the terms already, and an official announcement will be made any time from now, barring any last minute changes.

Globacom Chairman Mike Adenuga is expected to give a final approval before final sign-off.

Sources say the telecoms company has been wooing Psquare since last year, when they first considered dropping their biggest music ambassador D’banj, following a disagreement that arose from the latter’s request for an increase in fees.

‘They considered replacing D’banj with Psquare or 9ice’ our source said.

Insiders at Glo confirm the company is adding Psquare to its list of ambassadors, but did not confirm if the popstars are replacing D’banj or not.

No immediate words from the Okoyes who are still in the US, honouring performance engagements. And a spokesperson for Globacom declined to comment.

Winner of Ghana Most Beautiful Pageant in Cell phone theft mess

22 year old Nasara Mariam Abdul Rauf who emerged as the winner of the 2009 edition of Ghana's Most Beautiful beauty pageant has been stripped off her crown for allegedly stealing a cell phone that belongs to a fellow contestant at the Miss Earth 2010 that was held in Philippines.

Although the beauty queen denied this allegations and expressed her disappointment to the organizers of the pageant, TV3 Network accusing them of stabbing her in the back.
She was quoted to say; "I saw it on facebook that my crown has been taken from me. I am very surprised, because TV3 have stabbed me in the back”
She further disclosed that the rumour was a big lie. "I used Miss UK’s phone, she was angry because she said I over used it; I returned the phone and paid for it. Anybody who believes me, will believes me“... she disclosed vehemently.

However, the organizers of the pageant, TV3 only got across to her after the statement for a meeting which she declined – she would be passing her crown to the first runner up but she would keep the car and cash prize

Nasara replied by saying;
“If TV3 is taking the crown based on this absolutely false story, then they should as well take everything, the crown comes with the car, the Gh¢2000 cash prize and everything because there is no point having the car without the crown or anything else”.

Tiger Woods and his estranged wife Elin reunite for daughter's birthday party

Tiger Woods has not been seen in public with Elin Nordegren since the revelations that he cheated on her with up to 14 different women.

But Woods and his estranged wife temporarily put their differences aside for the sake of their daughter Sam as they belatedly celebrated her third birthday last Saturday.

Despite their show of unity, reports say that the pair were barely civil to each other at the bash, held at Cranium Clubhouse, which is near the couple's respective homes in Orlando, Florida.

He was accompanied by his office manager Kathy and another unidentified woman.
